A newly constructed table tennis hall and a second gymnasium were inaugurated by Sports Minister Badri Narayan Patra at Saheed Nagar Indoor Hall here today. Constructed at a cost of Rs 1,12,36,900, the infrastructure facility has been equipped with five tables.
The floor of the table tennis hall has been covered by 6mm PVC mat. The facility is sure to provide table tennis players of the city an ideal place to practice and improve their standard. The hall can also be used to conduct tournaments.
State Sports Director Saswat Mishra, Bhubaneswar MLAs Bijay Moyanty, Ashok Panda, Mayor Anant Narayan Jena and office-bearers of Odisha State Table Tennis Association, Bhubaneswar District Table Tennis Association and Khurda District Table Tennis Association were preset at the inauguration function.
